The Colonnade fitout project had an incredibly tight timeline due to the Grand Opening of the upgraded Hurstville Westfields being held right out the front of the Restaurant. We were the last project to commence in the Hurstville Westfields Shopping Centre extension due to factors outside of our control. To add an extra level of pressure the launch ceremony for the opening of the Centre was to take place right outside the front of the Colonnade tenancy! We literally had to pay some of our supplier’s bonuses in order to achieve the opening date in time! The last day prior to opening there were 5 of us who worked for 24 hours straight to finish the job in time. It was an incredible outcome that we even managed to finish in time at all! In truth you wouldn’t even realise by looking at the amazing outcome that there was so much pressure!
Even though it was a full-on endeavour it was still fun transforming this tired old Restaurant in to a funky new “Diner” style establishment. We really enjoyed the vibrant and exciting outcome achieved through the finishes and colours utilised! It was certainly one of the more colourful projects we have been a part of!
