Mai Viet Fitout presented a change of style in that it was the first Vietnamese Restaurant we had undertaken. Based on Cleveland Street, Redfern, it was the old James Dean Pizza store that had been at this location for many years. It was a pretty rundown site internally so there was a lot of strip out and remedial works required to get it back in shape to start to transform the space into a brand-new Vietnamese Restaurant.
Dealing with Peter and Deanne was a lot of fun and turning the dilapidated previous store from James Dean Pizza on Cleveland Street into the bright and new Mai Viet Vietnamese Restaurant was a great transformation to undertake. The beautiful painted mural on the left-hand side wall really highlighted some of the natural floral beauty of Vietnam. We love our Vietnamese cuisine, so it was a pleasure to sample the culinary delights once we had finished our works.
