Passion for Catering fitout was the first commercial kitchen for a catering company we have undertaken. Given my background used to be corporate catering it was amazing to be involved in the design and fitout process for a catering company. If only I had a kitchen like that back in my catering days!
Dealing with Joseph from the outset was great as I had a good overlap of understanding with regards to what he needed, even though every operator has a different style. Working with Savitri from Dreampods she was able to document everything beautifully for the CDC and construction elements of the project.
Onsite the project was a dream, as far as fitouts go, as we were in a commercial unit complex with plenty of parking, no residents nearby, no sensitive neighbours, no noise complaints, no parking officers, no building managers and an ability to load everything in without any hassles whatsoever! This is almost unheard of in the shopfitting game, so we made the most of these site-specific blessings and enjoyed them all the way to the end of the project.
The main structure of the kitchen was built from fire resistant cool room panelling and everything else was stainless steel, cool room, freezer room or equipment. We ran Hebel panelling along the back wall underneath the hood so that we could chase in all the services and then tile the Hebel for a much cleaner and safer finish. The storeroom area was also built from fire resistant cool room panelling and overall the space was all very clean, practical and easy to work within.
It was great to see everything come together and hand over a beautiful shiny and new commercial kitchen to Joseph once completed. This was really one of our favourite projects due to the many lucky aspects that we were blessed with on this project and the ease of working with Joseph. You just have to appreciate your luck when you get it.
