The Wooden Whisk fitout is situated in a tucked away in backstreet in St Leonards, Sydney. As you enter from the Street you have to walk down 11 stairs to get to the Café itself. This was a challenge that we had to overcome with not only getting old unwanted equipment out of the existing site but getting all the new materials, equipment, stainless steel etc. down the stairs and into the site.
Working with Sean was a pleasure and whilst it was a difficult site in many ways it is always easier to surmount problems when you are dealing with good people. Many of the design features were modelled around a French provincial feel and whilst the lines and colours are contained and simple in many ways it creates a great ambience throughout the customer dining area. As soon as the Wooden Whisk opened to the public they were instantly busy as quality was obviously the cornerstone of the design, fitout and their subsequent service and food style.
